I have a really similar build on 3" https://rotorbuilds.com/build/24834
Just blew an ESC on the HGLRC 13amp :(
They're out of stock everywhere now!

I was thinking of going to an AIO whoop board for higher amp rating but the 16x16 looks way cleaner.

yes mine blew up 2 hglrc so its not good for 4s i changed it for a aio board by betaflight it holds 4s with no problem

Hi dude! Love your build just a few questions.
Why did you choose 12xx motors instead of 110x?
Have you tried bigger battery 650mah? Do you have any video by chance?

beta 1204 are super smooth and got great punch and no i think 650mah is to big and heavy for the tadpole the 450-4s is like the bigest battery that actualy fits on the frame. and already will feel a litle woble on rad pitch moves. in 4s the punch is emazing as strong as a 5inch and in normal flight feels super stable and locked. I realy like the way it performs its funer and faster than any other micro i have tried.
