This bird is an attempt at a sub 250 gram build. The build is fairly straight forward, but there were a couple of exceptions. To align the GS-25 ESC and Talon F7 fusion flight controller, the GS-25 ESC will be rotated 90 degrees. Therefore, I had to reassign the motor order within Betaflight. Also, the Betaflight version that was loaded on the Talon F7 fusion flight controller needed to be updated. If I did not update the flight controller firmware, I would have had to add CLI commands to allow motor 4 to work and set up the mode tab to allow for power the VTX and Camera.
Other than those exceptions, the build was easy. The Talon F7 flight controller is easy to solder; unlike other 20 x 20 boards. My inital flight was great. I actually used a 850 mAH battery, and my flight was ~9 minutes. The flight did not include a lot of "flippy-floppy;" however, run was moderately aggressive. I suspect that I'll be able to average 5 minutes or more for more aggressive flying! The build will need a little bit of tuning, but there was little propwash and it felt great.
thiccc frame! Looks good dude!!
