Armattan Gecko 3" DJI

Built this little 3" Armattan Gecko for ripping around the backyard with lots of trees and small gaps. Flies well even with the weight of a DJI Air Unit, not as well as a light weight 5", but still fun in areas a 5" is marginal. Prop noise is much lower to help keep peace with neighbors and overall, very robust when it finds the ground unexpectedly.

Nice build. Any tips you could share to secure the air unit? How did you go about that?

I used 3M VHB double sided tape and a ziptie to hold the Air Unit to the top plate. The ziptie is located in the gap of the battery pad as viewed from the top. This comobination has performed very well with over 800 flights without issue.

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
