AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

So this is an AWESOME build!
I love the radiation symbols in the top plate, and the way you got the arms cut! Are the motor screws countersunk?!
Your soldering is SUPER clean.
Are those 2008 1400kv motors?
Why did you choose such a big gps antenna?
With Inav, and all that range, do you run gps waypoint missions?
Greetings from Alabama!
Hi, thanks. In the motor I preferred to use flat-headed screws instead countersunk holes. The motors are original 2008 1400kv from mavic pro ... I had interference/noise problems with GPS in others drones, so I preferred to keep the GPS further away, more safe to long range, ... waypoint missions are easy with this setup, but I haven't run any yet, soon.. ;)
