update 11/16/20: i just realized that 56mm props are longer than 2in props. they're about 2.2in. that means 2in frame, 85mm, won't fit. you would need at least 90mm-100mm frame which is about the size of 2.5in frame.

i have an idea. build this and invite a few friends. standing around use yourself as gates and go racing around with it. what do you think ?

i wouldn't want to use 1s 300/350mah, 8grams, for this build. 1s 450mah are available to buy.
But my best batteries are the old batteries i got. 3s 350mah Newbeedrone, separated into 1s batts, 10grams/each,.

it flies really nice. i like it.

weight: 17grams + 10grams batt = 27grams AUW.
propellers: ldarc/kingkong 56mm props ( the remake ones, not the old ones )
motors: happymodel 0802 19000kv
board: happymodel crazybee lite 1s 5a with built-in RX and VTX
camera: runcam nano 3 ( 1.2grams )
frame: some old frame i got long ago. ( 2grams, 1.5mm ). i think you can use the frame from Alexander Arvinte's 2in frame.
I just remember where i got the frame. it's happymodel trainer90 hahaha.

build construction:
in the pictures i show how to tape the board onto the frame.
2 layers of foams, wall-mount foam tapes and the usual foam tapes.
wall-mount foam tape is stiff to keep the board from touching the frame.
the usual foam tape is soft to soft-mount the board.
Electrical tape to hold camera, camera-mount, and the board in place.
rubber bands to hold the batteries and the board in place.

PID:
i'm not good at tuning. this PID is ok, not good.
follow the instruction from here, using " toothpick " setup.
https://theuavtech.com/presets/
Then use the PID in the picture.
set thrust_linear = 0

watch out! a new racing pilot in the making. hahaha
nah, i'm just learning to fly. i'm having fun though.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
