MK 1 : Not much space ! enjoyable build , will be changing the FC for the Tiny TALON when this arrives , cant get the OSD to work but it flies .
I used spare top plate underneath to help with the mounting .

MK 2 : I did fit and Fly with the Tiny Talon on this build but it felt a little big ( Less than 1mm clearance from Vista to FC ) so decided to instead order the Flywoo GOKU GNF4 13A stack as I hope the size will fit into the Tadpole perfectly .

MK 3 : After some more adjustments ( Camera moved back and angled up ) and plenty of time checking clearances the Flywoo Stack is fitted , still well tight on space but just enough so all good . Two new LEDs fitted , one under the camera ( White ) the other directly underneath ( Yellow ) switchable from the controller .
OSD working well , Even an option for wiring in a GPS unit on the FC .

This is amazing. Great work! How did you cut your custom carbon? I'd be interested in getting some copies of that design. Have you installed the Talon stack? I have it in one quad and I can't figure out how to get it to work on 4S. Have you considered doing the Naked Vista mod? I just did it on a Phantom HD and it seems to working well.

Hello 9volt , no plans to go naked as yet ! I did post a drawing of the extra holes drilled into the spare top plate I used on the bottom . This may well change again before I'm happy . Just posted some extra pictures of the fitted Tiny Talon but it was just a bit big . I think with some extra work and a slight change in holes position the camera will sit slightly back further .

Did you modify the carbon fiber in any way? It looks like you've cut the sides of the main bottom plate, but I can't see yet how you managed to fit the stack.

Very cool build. I didn't thought these Armattan frames were so light. I was going to buy a GEPRC Phantom frame, but now I might consider this one.

Thanks for posting.

Hello Igustol , glad you like the build , I'll post some drawing and extra pictures , had to be a bit sneaky with mountings but it wasn't hard , I also cut some material away from the rear aluminium parts to give extra space for the power and capacitor to fit , the vista comes with a plastic antenna holder which with some carefully drilled holes works great .

I love this build. I did an Airblade EX with naked Vista, along with a Five33 Tiny Trainer with naked vista. Both run at 700mw without overheating. I was debating attempting the same thing with a Tadpole frame, but it looked too tight. I may revisit it after seeing yours. The Tadpole flies SO well, it definitely would be worth it. I only wish the Nebula Nano was further along in development. Probably not long, now that the nebula pro is coming out, and looks amazing. Anywho, beautiful build!

Thanks Mike , I'll post more pictures , the Vista Unit went in with extra hole but the space was fine , I even put extra nuts and washers in so as to lock the bolts for the vista and provide space for the motor wires .
I had to solder the vista wires so as they sort of stayed inside the unit dimensions until a space between the esc and FC enabled room to bring them out to connect .
I hope to change the Stack as I can't get the osd to work , on order is the Tiny Talon F7 FC with 32 bit esc .
This even has spare uarts so maybe I'll put GPS on it 😳🙂 fingers crossed for an update or new camera from Caddx in the nano size 🤞

Maybe you could mount the vista to the top plate to be able to get more camera angle.

Or maybe remove the heat shrink. I don't know how safe it is in terms of durability, but I've seen some people do it, like a user called "sub250g". It would also save some weight.

Compact little build! :O

Weight and flight time? :)

Hi Danner , weight is about 130g , flight time in the house here as it wont stop raining is about two and a half minutes on a 300mah 3s .
This may well be better but the cat took Tadpole out on the second flight with a swift left hook and I'm charging the battery now as i write this .

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
