Had some brushed motors and an FC in my parts bins that needed something to do so decided to build this up. Haven't had a chance to maiden it yet but hope to this afternoon. Curious as to how well these 8520 brushed motors will carry this build on Gemfan 65mm props.

Do anybody still use brushed motors?

I fly at least one brushed Silverware build every day. Nothing better in confined spaces if you ask me.

8520 motors are surprisingly well suited to 65mm props. The jump in performance from my other builds that used 55mm props is significant.

I've never come across any that were designed for 8520's and 65mm props unfortunately.

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
