Thin velcro is used with side mount screws going through the velcro to help keep it from sliding around.
This provides for a side to side battery mounting. A forward to back mounting would be more challenging with the USB port in the way.
However, a beebrain v2 camera canopy may allow for the FC to be flipped over and thus USB port out of the way of battery mounting.

How long is the flight time with those 450mah packs?
it is at least 4 minutes . I don't recall exactly though. I'm only using 12000kv motors which are easy on the battery.
