my goal with this one is to fly longrange with lipo, but i'm not confident with that, we will see.

very interested in the performance of this build! I'm working on a lightweight 7" long-rage cruiser as well that flies for 30min+ including a GoPro. Got my eyes on these motors as well! BTW: Check out the Gemfan Hurricane 7x3.5, the lower pitch and less weight should work better.
just curious what happened to your First FC?
esc fail from 400m over the ground, dunno what happen, but the quad survive and he's great, just waiting for a li/ion battery now, cause i'm not confident with real long range at this time, 7/8 minutes with lipo...
1300kv is good for hover at light consumption.
