AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. I have a friend building an old frame that mounts the motors in a similar way. Do you have the ESC's out at the end of the arm, in the motor mount?
No the ESC's are installed in the frame. I used longer cables in the arms. I have to make newer Pictures of the Build, i changed some components (GPS...)
Please do! I have TONS of images of 2"-8" quads, in tons of formats. Almost no posts with props in the >9" range. The frames that are made for larger motors/props that I have found are different from mini-quads in really interesting ways. It's like a look back in time, I started building about 5 years ago. The frame my friend is working on uses tubes for the arms, and those brackets that let the arms fold in. Might be the same diameter arm tubes you have here.
