AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

This gave me idea how to repurpose another my old frame.
What are you going to do?
Restore another broken 4S 5" freestyle quad as 6S one. Had three of them, one was with LX5 frame which you seen as 6S now. That other quad also have single stack frame. Will remain as analog FPV quad - I plan to install TBS Sixty9 in it. And want to test new Betaflight feature to run 4S motors with 6S batteries ;) Because who need 4S motors on 5" quads anymore.
You'll need throttle limiting if you're running 4S motors on a 6S battery. I have already burned out motors 😳🙄
Luckily this is now sorted out in Betaflight by "motor_output_limit" and "auto_profile_cell_count". It make possible to put 6S RPM's on 4S motors in safe limit. Plus have separate PID/rate profiles for 4S and 6S batteries if needed. In nutshell sorted out here:
I still have a little heap of RS2203S 2300KV and RS2203 2600KV motors which no one needs. Why not end them with style :) Former coworker made a leaf blower from two of these, old 20A OPTO ESCs and DAL 5045BN props (these also are a thing of the former glory).
