how to assemble a DJI FPV traversing machine?**
Want to play with the traversing machine but afraid to start difficult?
Don't worry, here's an easy-to-understand tutorial to help you easily play with a traversing machine.
In the previous article, we explained to you how newcomers should make their first purchase of a traversing machine.
But many newcomers in the purchase of accessories, the face of scattered accessories and difficult, how to assemble them into a complete crossing machine?
Preparation
This time we have prepared the 5-inch Crossover Pro accessories described in the previous article to demonstrate the installation to you, the accessories are as follows:
Accessories include: DJI FPV digital map system sky end + rack + flying tower + motor 4 + paddle 4
In addition, you need to prepare tools before assembly: hexagonal screwdriver + soldering iron
install the base plate
First, open the packaging of the Genesis Tektronix laser (digital map version) rack, the rack mainly consists of eight carbon fiber plates, the kit also contains matching screws and aluminum posts.
The carbon fiber plate is divided into two sides, when installing the screws on the reverse side, that is, the side with the groove, so that the screws can better fit the body.
First to install the base plate part of the crossing machine.
Secure the arm between the base plate and the plywood with 8 screws, and then secure each of the 4 aluminum posts to the long screws on the inside.
One of the plywood has 2 small holes, when installed this piece of plywood in the bottom plate also has holes on the side.
This is the direction of the tail of the crossing machine, and the other side is the direction of the nose. The effect of the installation is as follows:
Next, install four broken wind HOM co-branded motor.
The motor package comes with several different sizes of screws. The screws used to install the motors are the left four or left five size screws. The left three nuts are used to fix the paddles, and the left one and left two nuts and screws are used to repair the motors after inadvertently blowing up the machine.
To match this frame, here we are going to use the left five size screws. Find out the screws of that specification from the kit and use these 4 screws to fix the motor base on the arm.
Don't forget to install the motor wires in the direction of the body, and install the 4 motors on each arm in turn.
The wires will look a little messy at this point, and we will trim them later.
Open the MEPS F55A PRO II + F4 digital map fly tower, install 4 long screws on the base plate, and then place the ESC board in the fly tower on the screws.
The next step is to trim the excess power and motor wires.
The length of the power cord from the ESC board to the middle of the board is appropriate, the three wires of the motor should be able to just to the nearest three solder joints on the ESC board.
If the novice is not sure, cut the wire rather than let the wire a little longer, do not cut too short Oh.
Next, the top of each wire in turn, peel off a small part of the skin to reveal the core to facilitate later welding.
Open the soldering iron and solder the motor wire to the ESC board with solder wire.
The ESC board is marked with positive and negative poles, solder the red wire on the positive pole and the black wire on the negative pole; then solder the capacitor on the soldering point, pay attention to the side of the capacitor with the gray bar on the negative pole and the other side on the positive pole.
The next welding motor wire, motor three wire welding in no particular order, as long as the motor wire are welded in the ESC board nearest welding point can be.
This way we have completed all the welding work, the welding effect as shown.
Take out the flight control board in the tower and place it on the screws, separate the flight control board and ESC board with a small white tube, and connect the flight control and ESC with a cable.
Finally, use the nut to fix the flight control and ESC on the screw, so that the installation of the base plate of the crossing machine is completed.
Install the top plate
Take out the sky end of DJI FPV digital map and other parts of the rack, and start the assembly of the top plate part of the traverser.
Remove the screws on the camera and use these 4 screws to mount the camera in the middle of the 2 pieces of 3d printed parts, note that the side with the arrow faces up.
Fix the antenna holder on the top plate with screws and put 2 map antennas in the antenna holder.
Then take out the double-sided tape in the package and stick it on the top plate.
The next step is to fix the module on the top plate with double-sided adhesive, and then connect the module with the antenna interface.
Here, we have completed the installation of the top plate part.
Overall assembly
The 3D printed parts that hold the camera are placed on the aluminum pillar in the direction of the nose, and then the flight control and the map module are connected with the row of wires.
The top plate is fixed to the aluminum post with 4 screws, and then the graphic module is fixed to the top plate again with zip ties, which ensures the solidity of the graphic module in flight.
Apply the battery anti-slip pad on the bottom of the body and tie the battery Velcro ties on the bottom of the body.
Secure the wires on each arm with tape wraps to prevent the rotating paddles from touching the wires during flight.
Finally, install the propellers, the four propellers contain two blades that rotate clockwise and two blades that rotate counterclockwise, the direction of rotation can be distinguished by whether the number on the blade is suffixed with the letter "R". Finally, the paddles are fixed with screw caps.
In this way, we have completed the complete assembly of a traversing machine.
With the batteries installed and the DJI FPV digital map remote control and flight glasses aligned, we are ready to fly with all the necessary accessories.
Warmly remind, in order to ensure safety, you must remove the paddles when debugging parameters.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
