Dragunov 6"

A while ago, I build a 6" quad using the RangeX frame with 6" arms with high KV 2507x1850kv motors. I absolutely loved flying flying this frame!

Over to the 5" world, my favorite frame is the Ichabod Jr, because of the GoPro mount placement. It also flies amazing, as well.

When I saw the Dragunov frame, it seemed to combine the best of 6" (power) with the best of 5" (GoPro placement). I was hoping the Dragunov would be the best cinematic drone in my arsenal.

What I ended up with was not so great.

The Dragunov has realy thing arms with also thin bottom and top plate. The results are a very fragile frame with lots of vibrations going to the FC.

I'm going to be decomitioning this frame, soon. But before I do, I wanted to upload the build pics.

Sorry to hear it did not work out. I also do like this kind of design. Reminds me of original MB Epic.

Real shame she's so jiggly, GREAT build. I like your lil receiver shelf, as well as the multi-antenna bracket out back. She got that gorilla-dumpey :)
I hear 7" used to be really tough to tune, back before they had props as well balanced as we do now. I always wondered if it was the 2x full size immortal-T antennas, and the super long vTx antenna, on top of the crummy props, but didn't really hear ppl talking about that. Maybe they had frame resonance issues too. Hope you post the new one, after you move the guts!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
