Well well well, after 6 years, I've finally decided to dive into the digital rabbit hole. Plus the price was just right to pick up Dji Goggles 2 as well as the 03 airunit.
The main purpose for this build was to build a smooth flying cinematic freestyle rig. Props out of view due to not hauling a GoPro and only using the 03au for DVR recording.
photos didnt seem to post in order i set them in, loaded random.
This frame was a choice between 3 others. axis manta, flyfish Valero, and Gep-mark5 pro. All three frames arevin a deadcat style layout. Yet each had pros and cons. The Geprc Mark 5pro just seemed to stand out as a solid choice, i like how the arms lock together and the camera cage is made of metal. 6mm thick arms is nice two.
This build HAD to have 25mm Fpvcycle motors the smooth ones, since my daily analog flyer has the 25mm imperial motors i knew they would handle anything i put them threw (especially on 6s).
Mamba stacks 100% all the way when build anything 5"-7". i know i can trust Diatone they make quality components!
there are minor things about this frame that i had to make adjustments to. like the area just in front of the lipo at the back of the camera cage. Sharp corners i had to cover before really taking it flying. So, since i moved the Crossfire immortal T to the front and decided not to use the front bumper. i put a couple gummy washers under in as i screwed it threw the top plate.
This has to be my cleanest build to date!
At the moment im flying with Gemfan Hurricane quad blade props, i just love the feel of being locked on rails an having so much control no matter what im doin. yet i do plan on testing out the prop recommendations that are listed on Fpvcycle for the motors.
All in all, this quad flys so smooth, cinematic freestyle ✅
