Nearly a year after buying the frame - I now have a flying X-Class!
I wanted to fly one ever since I saw a few X-Class videos but wanted to make sure I was not skipping too many steps so built a powerful 10" acro in the spring - and then spent the summer learning about tuning it...
I learned a lot in the process so hoping tuning this one will not take as long!
Despite having watched many videos - they look a lot bigger in real life. I have it set so that I can fairly easily swap the arm tubes for shorter ones but I want to get it sorted as a proper 800mm X-Class first.
I did put some very conservative filters and pids for the first flight (loads of horror stories of AM32 and 12S not working well together and did see a few desync at very low throttle on the bench) but it all went very smoothly so starting to slowly push the gains now.
The power/torque is quite something - as well as the sense of inertia. It feels like a big step up even from the 10" I built - and the sound is quite something too :)
AUW is 4.420 kg with two SMC 6700mAh 6S batteries
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
