Ive been flying my Minitri for almost a year now, its great fun, but simply too heavy and big for actuall racing against quads.

which is a shame since i believe that a tricopter is destined for racing, as it overs much tighter curve behaviour, and plane like characteristics.
So i've started tweaking around the RCExplorer Frame, and am currently in the process of developing a true racing tricopter.
Main difference will be less weight, a smaller footprint, while maintaining the 6" to compensate the fourth motor.
Down there ive listed the planned Specs.
(they are pretty high end, so i might go with alot cheaper parts in the end)

(NOTE: The Tilt mechanism David developed is too ingenious to be replaced, so im keeping that part orignal.)

EDIT 0: the whole upper part with camera, transmitter and receiver will be covered by 3D printed mount for every part, and the space between the plates has enough room for a full size FC

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
