Stingy

Building up my very own Stingy. Loving the low deck, but plenty of room to build. Can't wait to get it in the air and see how she does. The antenna is in the mail, but the rest is buttoned up.

The frame was easy to put together, the camera mount was the hardest part to get in, but it really holds the camera secure.

Should have her in the air this weekend for a shake.

Did you have any trouble getting the Eagle 2 in there, since it's wider than the Swift?

Sidewinder33   Oct 03, 2017

Not at all, the width is the same and there is enough room for the cam to swing freely.

Thanks! Looks great.

This looks great. Very low profile instead of those huge flying boxcars. What's your dry and auw weight?

Can you see the props through the runcam?

Dry it's 390g, with an Infinity 1500 it's sitting at 571g. I have a Session mount in the mail which will probably put it around 650-660 with a GoPro.

You can see the props a bit so the Split might not be an option if your looking for clean footage. I also have the 2.5mm lense so the fov is fairly wide.

You knew where I was headed mentioning the split. That camera will probably inspire a new breed of frames.

This build looks so good it's definitely worth keeping in mind though. Nice work.

Very nice build. Very similar to the next build I'm planning. Curious to see how you like the wraiths and eagle 2.

I love the wraiths I have them on three other builds. Extremely smooth power makes flying a totally different experience. I'd highly recommend them, or their refined brother is in the pipeline the betaflight 32 bit esc's which are nearly identical but with additional built in caps to help chop down the electrical system back feed. I can't wait to see how the eagle 2 does, I love the eagles on my other builds and this is supposedly even better.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
