Heffalump

Thought it would be cool to be the only one with this odd frame on RB. For 20 bucks it turned out to be a decent frame. I asked my kid what we should call it so she's the Heffalump.

I should mention that this thing is by far the quietest 5 inch quad I've ever heard. Cruising around at half throttle and its almost silent. The punch out and quick turns/flips/rolls only sound like a 3s quad. I'm not sure why because she's pretty fast for her weight!

All the electronics are conformal coated with the exception of the camera board, sd card slot, ufl connectors, and vtx button Should be good enough as long as I don't attempt to drown it.

Looks cool! do you know the weight?

It weighs 310 without the battery or strap. A picture of it on the scale is in the comments... I didn't change from the 'In-progress' stage to the completed stage the right way and a few pictures ended up there

Build is done except for swapping an axii (realacc uxii) for the cloverleaf!

Waiting on the receiver currently. ESCs are installed underneath the arms which gives it a cool look I think. Should be safe from bent prop attacks as well. Turns out I'll have to 3d print a mount for the split camera since the pod is a little too wide to make it work.

Turning out to be a cool build!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
