The first 3 inch I have built I actually like, which is no surprise I really like how the big Floss 2 flies.

My first 3 inch was a Shendrones Hedwig. Well it flew nicely the 45 degree only CMOS cam left a ton to be desired. It was fun to run gates with and pretty stupid fast. With the advent of the micro swift (basically the camera I run on everything I can) and the lack of backward capability with the Hedwig meant I flew my CCD cam quads much more.

Hard to wrong and such a light weight cheap frame from my favorite RC website in the form of the tooth fairy. I stripped out the Piko BLX V1, the 1306, and the VTX from my Hedwig added a Spedix 20x20 20a, and a micro swift and used them to assemble. It came out at 125 grams dry and I am running 500mah/650mah 4s and 850mah 3s. It also happen to be top mount which all thing being equal I prefer as well as stretch X which I feel is for sure better running gate, and doesn't really hold you back for fun flying.

Despite the older FC and running multishot this little guy is sweet. I really like the hardware free micro cam mount included. Tall enough to easily fit a 4 in 1 + FC, and overall super simple to assemble. Super happy Will probably try another one with 1107s on 3s to see how that goes.

I can nt fly in the winter, so this quad only had about 2 weeks of flight time on it but no issue. I have never broken a 3 or 4 inch Floss(or floss like) frame, and have only ever broken 2 5 inch floss arms. I do not ever fly over concrete though.....and most of my flying is my backyard pasture which has very tall grass.

but I havent tried bottom mount battery at all.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
