Number 2 of the DC super heroes is waiting to be built. I’ve got all the parts in finally, just waiting for this upcoming weekend to start putting her together (him since it’s the Dark Knight I guess). Gonna need to familiarize myself with PID tuning a bit more now as the builds keep getting lighter. My Mach 1 runs great on stock PID’s but the ghost is touchy as hell on punches and I’m sure this will be too. The more you do the more you have to learn.

Started putting it together tonight. As usual I can’t get the Hyperlite FC to flash with the latest firmware. I love the simplicity of this FC but damn if I can never get it to flash, this is my second one and same issue.

Either way, esc is wired up, FC, cam, vtx, and rx are as well but after I got it all together I didn’t quite like how I had it so back down again as I find a new spot to tuck the RX. Mainly I can’t decide if I wanna go top or bottom mount battery so it keeps making me change my mind on where to put the RX.

12-9 update. Everything is now mounted. Pictures are crappy because I’m at work for another 10 days and I’m in my company housing. Dark floors and darker tables make for crap phot ops. I’ll hover and LOS fly it tomorrow. Then I’ll update with final photos.

12-13 update, had the change up some of the mounting just a bit, rx was a bit too close to the top plate for me and I was afraid some vibration might cause it to rub through the heat shrink and short it out for me. Happened once before so now I’m pretty cautious if any tight spaces.

Either way, she’s done, she flies, and I need to hurry up and get home so I can fly the shit out of it. Come on December 20th.

Last shot is with his brother The Man of Steel. Have it’s build on here as well.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
