based on the Hyperlow Vert Freestyle by with the stacked arm design by Bob Roogi, my version has a smaller wheelbase and is a lot lighter. I'm using a 'key'd' arm design with the carbon key been glued which eliminates the nut and bolt arrangement on the Roogi design. the big done side is the lack of space for a go pro but as a racing quad thats not so important. with a 1300mah 4s battery it'll just clear the 5152 flash props and on a real 5" prop there is plenty of room. So far Its passed the hover test in the house and the smart audio is hooked up and working. with the 25v cap the video feed is really clean. i chose the Sunrise F4 as its the higher quality version of the RacerStar version of the FC/ESC that Drone Mesh rates so highly. once the wind and rain backs off the pid tuning and current sensor calibration process will begin. then i'll test props to find out what feels the best and doesn't puff batteries
i think this could be sold but the cost of getting the prototype frame cut was really high as it has a lot of parts with 19 seperate pieces of carbon.. pretty much depending on the FC/ESC combo and the hardware the stack can be any where from 10-20mm with my preference been 15mm using an extra 5mm spacer for each arm which also allows you to change the prop line by up to 5mm
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

That thing looks dope as hell man. I bet she's fast too, I can see some downsides to the frame, and like you that part of my brain wants to be heard. In this case tho, that voice is drowned out by the simple idea "That thing is dope as hell, and YOU are part of why it's so great". There will be other quads, and this one will break one day just like the rest, but this one YOU got cut... You are a designer now!!!!!
I only fly my own designs!
I went and looked at your profile after I posted that and realized that I had seen your work b4, and remembered that you had modded a lot, and designed some frames from the ground up. I went back and deleted that comment, but somehow it's back. Don't know why it's not deleted.... I watched it dissapear after I told it to.... W/e, that's a dope frame... I just don't want you to think your previous design work hadn't impressed me, and I didn't want to paint you as less accomplished than you are to anyone who might check this build without having seen your others.
had some issues with the set up that have now been fixed... some gentle flight testing now that its stable and doesn't wig out... impressed with the flight times and I've changed out the windancers for flash 5152 props as the dancers were just too slow
