Clean build! I would like to build this just without the FPV stuff for LOS. I was wondering do I need the BEC you used or can the 4 in 1 ESC power the FC because someone said the racerstar ESC doesn't have enough power or something to power FC and should I use a PDB? I am buying the Revo F4 because the one you used is out of stock currently. Thanks!
Thank you! You do not need the BEC if you aren't adding FPV gear and if your FC can take the full battery voltage then you do not need a PDB. This board is very close to the one listed. It offers OSD in case you'd like to add FPV later.
Thanks! I appreciate it! Also do you recommend a 4 in 1 ESC or 4 individual? If I don't use a PDB how would I go about wiring that? Do I just use servo wire to go from esc to FC?
I prefer the 4-in-1. It makes the build far easier and results in a cleaner build overall. There is a wire harness to connect the ESCs to the FC. It's just above the RX in the photos.
I used 16AWG for the main battery leads because the pads are too small for 14AWG. Now the wires going to the motors are much smaller. If you get a 4-in-1 without wires pre-soldered then you'll need to come up with about 2cm of additional wire per motor and that's more like 22AWG or 24AWG, I'm not sure. If you have no particular reason to get the V2 BB2 4-in-1 then you might as well get the one I used. It works just fine, you'll save a few dollars and you won't need to worry about coming up with additional wire.
Do I need to buy that black and white wire you have hooked up from the lipo leads on esc to FC? Is that servo wire? Also I guess I have to buy 16 AWG 1 meter and 22AWG 1 meter if I decide to go with V2 esc because reg is out of stock.
I've got bags and bags of spare wire from building these things, so that black and white is just some grab-bag wire. If you do this long enough you'll have more wire than you know what to do with! If you know anybody personally who builds these they've probably got some wire to fit all your needs. You should be able to use the 22AWG to power the FC.

Nice! I don't really see the wire harness in the photos is a wire harness wrapped in heat shrink how does that work?
It's the small rainbow colored set of wires in front of the stack.
Oh sweet! Thanks man! So I don't need servo wires? Also if i'm buying this 4 in 1 ESC http://www.banggood.com/Racerstar-RS20Ax4-V2-20A-BB2-48MHz-Blheli_S-2-4S-Opto-Oneshot42-Multishot-4-in-1-ESC-for-FPV-Racer-p-1080541.html?rmmds=cart do I need to buy 1M of 14 guage wire to connect from ESC to those br2205 short wires?
The ESC includes the wire harness. Those motor wires are far smaller than 14AWG. They're more like 22/24AWG.
Thanks but didn't you say you used 12 AWG?
