Goby 210 Rebuild

I was doing some LOS testing last weekend and snapped my H210 frame. Rather than buying another crappy knockoff I figured I'd support my favorite local vendor and ordered myself a Goby 210 from ReadyMadeRC. This is a pretty tight build, even more so than even my 122mm RotorX Atom, due to the thinness of the center body. Essentially each of the major components needs to be incorporated into the stack or you'll have to get clever mounting them in other manners. I wound up 3D printing a little stack-sized tray in which to set my X6R (don't ask...) and mounted my VTX above that against the top plate for the time being. LEDS are blue and green. The VTX will be swapped out in the next few days. That aside, this should be the quad I'm running in the Louisville MDX race in the mega-cavern.

Love the build can a Gopro be mounted to the top?

I believe there are a couple of 3D printable designs for various HD cameras on Thingiverse. In my experience, though, the thin top plate is definitely not my favorite plate to mount a cam on.

Did you color the frame edges? With what if that's the case?

Yup! I use paint pens for that, which can be grabbed at any local hobby shop.

How are you attaching the battery?

So you're adding a plate to the bottom? Are you going to be carrying an HD camera with this?

Yeah, adding the Goby bottom plate. I'll update with photos of my custom Yi Mount and batteries mounted when I get her finished up.

I'd like to see how it all turns out. Will you land on the battery or add some sort of cover/landing gear?

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
