2024 frame + O3 air unit + FC and ESCs from 2018
The Quadmula F25 split aka Djinn kit is well thought out. The only complaint I have is the supplied motor bolts are too short and are button-topped unlike the rest of the bolts in the kit so it seems like it was thrown in as an afterthought. Besides that, it pleasantly complete and was quite easy to assemble.
Using my previously owned 5 year old electronics from the golden years in FPV...back when you can pick up a FC + ESC combo for $20 on a black friday deal...assembly isn't any different...things really haven't changed much.

ooh another pinout in a weblog
The motors are a rare 7000kv version of the x1404 original Xing motors. I'll be running these with two profiles, a 3s and a 4s profile - at 92% and 75% throttle limit.
pid screen shot is from @murdersfpv video which he got from a basement tune. I'll be using his as a spring board. This FC has a black box too so if I'm not feeling lazy I'll probably do it on a rainy day.
esc current scale is 295 according to a user on banggood

still tuning and messing around with settings. not easy to harness that beastly 7000kv on 4s!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Ah yes, does me good to see the older type boards. Man I miss those days. 50,- full stack and aios for 30. Nice build btw, kinda heavy no? Flight times?
i still haven't had a chance to put her up in the air but will definitely report back. yeah, she bloated. but not much choice these days with freestyle o3 frames. I do have one lined up though that should be significantly lighter, more on par with the usual 100g 2.5" target. Flight wise the weight won't matter too much to me, it's more about damage control. there is a thought that the beefier the frame the more durable it is which is true in one way but on the other end, an ultra light build can become near indestructible as well.
I've recently tested a similar build weighing in at 132g without a lipo and found that the HQ T2.5x3.5x3 worked best for me. 4 -5 min mixed freestyle with plenty of power and control on 1206 motors. So your one should fly nicely as it is.
