Hi there!

Maybe some of you already stumbled on one of my free open source 3d-printable tubular designs using carbon rods in the past. Most of them I haven't shared here, as I can be shy But there are now over 20 designs available (increasing steadily).

About this design:

This is a new 5inch Deadcat design labeled "Neo". It was inspired by Anime (mainly GiTS), and is supposed to look like an aggressive spaceship or buggy type of vehicle. It's a 5inch frame, though different sizes are likely to drop soon. It's designed for the O4, but I can gladly design a mount for your needs. Just hop on the Tubular frames Discord community and let me know
There is no jello at all on the O4, and Gyroflow works perfectly (will add a video from my flights today later). Blackbox also looks great, i'll gladly provide a BB log. For a PID tune see below (filters can be left standard).
Price for the frame is about below 10$

Depending on if you're using an AIO or a stack, either choose the 11mm or 17mm cage version (this is the amount clearance is gives you.
Currently it's designed for the O4 only, but I can gladly add a design for your camera or VTX of choice. Just let me know on Discord ideally (link see below).

(please leave a like and comment if you feel like it, watching others enjoy my designs fuel for my work)

If you plan on building one or would like to get more info, there is a Discord server dedicated to this frame class. You'll get all the support you need there. Myself and everyone else (600 member and growing) do what we can to help.

Flight video for this build:

Over the years I've designed many tubular frames. There are 3 main body types and then a growing number of subtypes.

About this build:

For best looks i wanted to build it as flat as possible, so i went with an AIO. The JHEMCU GHF405AIO-HD provides a great value for such a low price, so it has gotten my go-to AIO lately. For VTX i'm all in DJI, so O4 Pro it has to be.
Regarding motors i bought some nice looking FPV Cycle motors used a few months ago that were waiting for the right project. So i went for a full on black&white look, which I personally find very very visually appealing.

For RX i choose the BetaFPV Nano ELRS-Receiver, as it send back telemetry with 100mW instead of 25mW like the Happmodel EP1, so i went with this one. Also the provided antenna is stiffer and easier to install.

I did a quick basement tune that i'm super happy with - check the pics for details.

Would love to see other build and fly it!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
