Originally i had an OG Mobula7 HD woth CaddX Turtle V2 with DVR! However i have always thought it was an ugly design, so i took a stab at rebuilding it in my own style! 52g dry weight, so it weighs a touch over the Tinyhawk II Freestyle! This is a 75mm HD cruiser for slo flow chillin!!
I decided to stay at 75mm because right now im just stuck on whoops, and i didnt have any sort of HD micros on hand. I have plenty of Meteor75 frames tho in a few different colors. Cyan caught my attention the most!
When i received the Mobula7 it came kind of unknown. The FC is unmarked and has no way of discerning what it was, but through plenty of sherlocking, i was able to pin down that it was the CrazyBee F4 Pro v3. Boasting a 10a esc on board, the version i held actially was a FlySky spi receiver board! OMG! That will not suffice!! So in came the Flywoo el24p ELRS receiver with "t" antenna! ill definitely not have to worry about my link with that! That also caused me to NEED more vtx power as well, 50mW onboard vtx just wont do!
HGLRC makes some great products for micro and nano sized builds! For video, they are a key player in my opinion. With the Zeus Nano vtx boasting 350+ mW of output power, i think i have the perfect choice! Most testing has shown the Zeus Nano to perform just as specified, and in my experience, it gets great range, and clear transmission. the TurtleBee is also rocking the CaddX Turtle V2 camera system with 1080p/60fps onboard DVR! This should be a great nano filmer!! Lets talk about motors on that note!?
Happymodel ex1102 9000kv motors are the "core" of the show since they are what gives the whoop its lift and "life"! im not going for a ripper here or anything, just a nice cruiser whoop for cinematic sloflo flight!
All in all, if i had been able to choose the parts for the build, i prolly would have taken a couple different routes. I definitely would choose a more capable flight controller in the future. it is a good combo for what i had, bit if i do this type of build again, I want to see what 1002 motors will make it feel like, and like i mentioned, i would find a FC with at least 1 more UART.
Oh, i would also make a better battery mount than the zipties and rubber pad i finagled together! Haha gotta love improv!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Nice build! building a 80mm betafpv pro frame as we speak. I went at it with a heatgun and manged to strecht the battery holders to fit a 2s lipo
