Had to be done! The frame is essentially quad porn. it is on the edge of being over engineered. it is a very tight (13 mm between top and bottom decks) build and i wouldnt point a beginer at it, but by god it flys well so far,
a little concermed by the lack of anything to protect the screw heads underneath, no skidding or boinking until i work that out.
some excelent features :
both the fov cam and the hd cam are mounted via 3d printed parts to give some jello protection
rear arms are set over 1cm higher than front to keep them clear of prop wash from front motors
outrageous tolerances (had to file a coule of bits to get them to fit)
frame is absurdly robust
typical acro layout (short x/top mount lipo)
access to any component by removing a single olate (there is a downside to this, i had a short on the xt60 when i tested on finishing the build), had to remove all the olates, requiring the removal of the arms and basically stripping the frame to work out what it was - bent oin on the esc connector)

Yep, FPV porn at it's finest right here. haha I agree though, don't know why they use the big knobby cap-head screws, I'm replacing them with button heads. Speaking of screws, jsu got my SO a couple days ago and the first thing I noticed is there are 8 arm screws, 5 are 27mm and 3 are 30mm. Hard to tell at this point which go where and it's the one thing that's not explained in the build video. 4 of the 27mm in the front and the rest in the back?
hi mate, so i actually prefer the cap head ti button head as a general statement, but the fact the heads are on the bottom means boinking and skidding is not a goer, and i have, as you can see, the type 1 crossfire mount, which protrudes below the bottomg decik comsiderably, i spoke to Neil at CMW and i believe they have some cunning plans which should protect stuff and put boinks and skids back on the menu
with regards to the screws, the 30mm are, i believe, for go pro mounts, the 27mm are for the front top plate, going through the printed elbow.
the build video does state what screws to use to mount the motors but not some of the others, again i spoke to Neil about this, they are addressing it
