This is my first somewhat premium build. I wanted to have some good performance but really I wanted to take my time choosing parts to get a rock solid, super clean build.
Build Notes:
I rotated the 4-in-1 ESC 180° so I could run the battery lead out the front by the camera. I really like the way this turned out because it keeps the cable completely away from the props. I also left the wires long so I could put the battery with the plug coming out the back and then over the top of the battery to connect it up. I might still cut it a little shorter though. I just swapped the pins in the wiring harness for the motors to fix the ordering.
The other thing to note is that I had a friend design a mount for the VTX. The frame is pretty low profile and the standoffs I had didn't leave me any room to put it in the main stack so I added the mount at the back. That also gave me a nice little pocket for the R-XSR receiver to fit in.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
