Needed a new challenge, so why refresh an old tricopter specifically Hobbyking trifecta build using modern day electronics. Wouldn't be going fast but it great for exploring. Flight controller is flashed with iNav. It is capable of mild acrobatic flight. A later addition is to add Matek M8Q-5883 for GPS mission waypoint mode for iNav. For now it sports ebay sourced M8N gps for telemetry.
On 4s 1300mha it could easily fly up to over 5 mins.

hi nok-fpv
what verison inav you flashed on the f405 std. I also would like to use trifecta and keep it in my car glove box as park flyer for a quick spin around.
INAV/MATEKF405 2.1.0 according to #dump. I also used the tricopter present, 7 inch gps as bases.
would it to much to ask if you are using inav pre-set tricopter 280mm or your own pids' setting in inav my goes nuts. in bf works great. inav pid vs bf pid is there a differance ? I assume both fc config have incorperated triflight?
I am using the pre inav tricopter too. What type of tail servo are you using is it analog or digital?
