AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! Nice. quick question. Why would you mount both crossfire antennes on the go pro mount. Wouldnt it be better to mount one on the gopro and one on the back of the quad.
good question! i havent mounted the second antenna yet so that is still and option but initially i just wanted to design a mount that can do both orientations so all bases are covered.
what KV motors did you run on these mate? would appreciate the help. I did have a quesiton for you xnova x4 heavy lifter frame you last posted. 2812 1300KV do you run that high KV for 8"? trying to sort out what I should run on my 8" frame was going to go with Brother hobby avenger 1180KV 2810 motors I'll be running 7535 and 8046 props mostly but 7" props on occation, not sure if motor KV will to be to low for some free style, mostly like cinematic type stuff. but would like to do both if and when needed. apppreciate your time.
i cant remember the kv of these. i think i repurposed some 1900kv and maybe used a throttle cap. 8" and 9" i usually do ~1100 kv. you might want to go higher kv if you want to used 7" props too though.
