This bulid evolved from my Black KISS build (https://rotorbuilds.com/build/27966).
Here I actually planned already to use the Karearea TOA 2207 1980 KV Bi-Turbine motors, which wheren't available at this time.
After I got some, I had to update!
But with my Black KISS, I had bad problems in the meantime.
Overall it flew great, but it still had some twitches and uncommanded movments, what scared me.
I blamed the FC and/or ESC to be the problem, but I think I was was wrong...
The motors were already specified.
Than I really fell in love with this Holybro 65 A metal-monster ESC, so I want one.
The videosystem and the frame where the only things, I took from my old build.
For the FC I wanted a iFlight F7 with dual-gyro, because I already have one (mini) running and I love it.
This build was a bit boring, because I already made it once.
To complicate it a bit, I tried an upside-down mounted ESC, to have a special wire routing.
The mount of te Immortal T at the back turned out to be useful, so I did it again.
I didn't really like the cage for the cap and spike absorber, like I had it before. That's why I removed it and outsourced the component's into the back of the copter.
Well, it flies good...but I had the same problems (more or less) than before - uncommanded movements!
After some research, I'm pretty sure the problem is the frame or more it's vibration characteristics.

The Karearea motors also where a bit disappointing. The look worthy, got a lot of power (max. 3400 W for all four acc. to BF OSD) and work great. But two of five had a noticeable bearing clearance out of the box.
In BF these motors show acceleration forces > 1 g. Not really what I expect from a premium motor.
I found out, the bearing play is caused by too little axial prestress on the bearings.
So I shortend the drive shaft by some µm and now the motors are running perfectly smooth, without any play or additional heat generation.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
