Im setting up a long-range build for extended flights in alpine region. I am looking for feedback from the community to refine the build.
I will use 4s Li-Ion INR21700-40T 4000mAh - 35A and 4000 mAh for long flights. For some more push 6s Li-Po.

Now almost ready. Replaced the original 3d prints with the red tpu once and added the landing skids.. Just needs some marginal work, putting the motorcables and settingt the longer Triumpf Pro Anteanna. Maiden flight coming soon =)

Nice to hear that. May I ask why - are you on a similar build?

Looks like those are powerful motors for a light weight build. Any more pics? :)

Yes, they are powerful - how efficient they are I will see. I choose those 2300kv to hopefully have decent RPM when the 4s voltage is getting to it´s end (~11V).

Hey! Yes, I want long flight time - therefore light weight. With the frame I am locked to motors with 12mm12mm mounting pattern. I have now changed to 2205 with 2300kv. The initial motors i picked (2305.5 / 1950kv) had 16mm16mm pattern, therefore impossible to be mounted.

Looks like you are going for a light weight build? Is that the reason for the smaller motors?

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
