Viper Lite - Ultra light 5-inch racing quad.

AUW 298grams with 850 mah 4S lipo.

As a beginner in the racing scene I found myself flying this setup more and more as it is very blunder friendly. With it's significantly low all up mass, it absorbs crashes a lot better than your usual 5-inch racing builds. Lower mass means lower overall momentum given the same velocity hence the strength of impact upon unforseen crashes are relatively lower.

Another thing that I liked about this setup is that you don't need to preturn as much as you would with a regular 5 inch quad. Because it's an ultralight setup it doesn't fling as much as there is less inertia to counter when changing direction in flight. This characteristic adds up to it being very beginner friendly as you don't have to think about preturns very often.

A few things that I would like to test in the future is how it compares to a regular 5 inch 6S racing quad with 2207 or 2306 motors in terms of acceleration, speed, and flight times. I'll update this post when I find out either from my own or from other pilot's experiences.

To those who wants to get the Viper Lite frame, you can email SugarK@betaflight.com and he'll sort you out.

It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
