Finally, we made it!!
This was our dream build, and we are proud to share with you our first Shendrones Siccario build. We planned to use it with our cinema camera, the Z-Cam E2M4, so we opted for INAV 5.1 as the firmware.

The frame needs no introduction. Unlike the first versions, the new ones include a set of rigidity bars that greatly reduce vibrations read by the ACC. We tried both configurations, and the difference is huge (obviously). Rigidity bars are also super useful for blocking the antenna in order to reduce its oscillations.

We picked the Matek F722 HD as the FC because it natively supports 8 motors, is compatible with the DJI HD system and INAV, has many UARTS and a strong CPU. The main downside, especially for a build of this kind, is the limited space on the board for a blackbox, without the possibility of using an SD card to log more info.
Power is provided by two PDBs, one for each train of motors (top and bottom), with two XT60 connectors that allow us to use a double battery on the build. The two PDBs are soldered together in parallel, balancing the different consumptions between the upper and lower trains of motors. We originally planned to use a FUSE between the two PDBs in order to make the system safer, but we ended up directly wiring them together after some testing.

The motors are the Tmotor F100 with tons of thrust. They can easily carry the cinema camera and lens, with relatively low currents when using the 8040x3 propellers. We decided to use single ESCs, two on each arm, one per side, for cooling reasons (no need to generate a lot of heat between the two plates) and because they are a lot easier to maintain in case of problems.

It can fly in a variety of battery configurations, as it can be powered by a single or double 1300mAh 6S (3min double), by a single or double 1550mAh 6S (4min double), or by a single 4500mAh 6S (7min single).
