Hello everybody,
here my next copter building.
I really like the Aluminium Cage from my previous Copter. It is made of 7075 aluminum and protects the hardware reliably, with compact dimensions.
But the carbon frame has proved to be not so stable. Within a short time, I have broken 2 frames.
The floor plates are also not available individually. You always have to buy the complete frame with structure.
This is quickly expensive.
In the search for a frame with cheap spare parts, I then came across a frame with claws.
What I liked very much.
However, the installation and the hardware was too complex and complicated.
That led to the fact that I have combined the best of 2 worlds.
I drew a matching carbon floor plate for me.
I made the arms quite thick 20mm so that the ESCs are protected and the vibrations are reduced.
The claws give the frame character. At the rear a generous motor protection.
This resulted in the "Raptor Cage" Frame.
Another difference with this build is that I have exchanged the FrSky receiver through the Crossfire Microreciver V2. The transmission of the digital signals with 150Hz is really a step forward. The V2 also has Telemety, so the comfort is maintained.
The copter weighs without LiPo 370g.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
