7" AstroX Switch Freestyle long range mountain destroyer.
AstroX Switch Freestyle with optional 7" arms, both bought from SkyHobbies Singapore.
This is the 4th AstroX frame in my fleet, the carbon quality is by far the best of all the premium frames I have owned over the years.
T-Motor were selected as this is the brand I have used on almost all my builds, top quality, performance and durability.
Omnibus F4 V5 Flight Controller, after leaving KISS to go back to Betaflight I've always found the Omnibus to be feature packed and good build quality.
Hobbywing Xrotor ESC is a solid performer and should easily be capable of handling the power requirements of this build.
Rotor Riot Swift 2 (not in the standard silver RR case as I accidentally snapped a mounting screw in the case during build)
Tramp HV VTX had a spare so used it here.
TBS Crossfire Micro V2 for confidence out long range.
Graupner 6.5x4.5 Race-Prop, never used these before. Massive gap in the market for 7" props, I went for these as Graupner have a good reputation and couldn't source 7" HQ's in the UK, hopefully HQ will soon release more 7" offerings.

Nice build! Those arms worry me! haha

this is super clean. I would recommend some "braided wire sleeve" to make it even cleaner instead of leaving the triple motor cable exposed.

Thanks, I wanted to use the braided sleeve but couldn't get it in time for the build. will definitely use it on my next build.

For the longest time we've been limited to 3 to 4 minutes of flight and lots and lots of batteries. With more efficient motors and frame designs it's now possible to push the envelope much further. This guide will walk you through the process of building a micro long range quad capable of flying 8-30 minutes and more than 4km. The build is moderately difficult, but with the right tools and steady hands..

Until recently GoPros were delegated to larger quads. A typical GoPro weighs around 125g and we've only recently begun to mount them on 3" cinewhoops. Even that is a stress on the motors. Now we've got the "GoPro Lite". Remove the battery, displays and casing and you're left with a small, lightweight board and sensor. Wrap it in protective TPU casing and you've got a 30g micro GoPro. The Hero6 is..
