P180 is a custom designed high-performance yet durable 5" FPV racing quadcopter.

It was designed in CAD software as a complete vehicle not just the frame, optimized around the components that it uses.

It's milled from a 4.4mm quality carbon sheet as the main frame and three additional 1.7mm carbon plates protecting the internals, making it hard to break.

Features:

  • X-shape minimum size frame to fit 5 inch props (actual motor-to-motor diameter is 183.85mm).
  • Milled from a quality 4.4mm carbon fiber sheet, making it nearly indestructible.
  • The main components are housed between 3 sheets of carbon for protection.
  • The VTX is placed in a milled pocket of the frame, held in by double-sided thermal tape, effectively making the entire frame a heatsink for it.
  • There's a small lightpipe providing visibility of the two red and blue VTX status LEDs.
  • Includes a PDB with OSD.
  • There's a built-in loud buzzer.
  • XT60 battery connector is firmly sandwiched between the carbon sheets and 3D-printed plastic, making it survive hard crashes.
  • There's a 4S battery balance plug holder so it won't find its way into the props.
  • There's a slot for the battery strap, just small enough to keep it in place.
  • The camera angle can be easily changed from 0 to 40 degrees.
  • There are small holes to access all of the buttons (RX bind, VTX setup, FC boot button).
  • The antenna is firmly held in place by two small and one large cable tie.
  • The motors are protected by another layer of the 4.4mm carbon, held in by three M2 screws each.
  • The carbon sheets have chamfers milled in for countersunk screws, making the top and bottom of the craft level for the battery and possibly a GoPro Hero Session camera.
  • There are very few exposed wires or components.
  • The ESCs are sealed with liquid tape for some winter fun, hopefully making them not catch fire in snow.
  • The weight of the quadcopter is 345 grams without the battery and around 500g with the battery.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
