My self-build take on the BetaFPV TwigXL
Uses my Brawler canopy and my R-XSR mount
All antennas securely fastened to frame or canopy - worst that can happen is the antenna snaps, but the UFL connectors will not get ripped off the boards
Rx antennas mounted inside antenna tubes secured in place with retainers glued to end of tube - if tube snaps, simply slot in another
Canopy is 4mm thick but largely hollow with infill - rigid enough to prevent jello, but airbag-like in properties (Will deform on impact)
Sensi frame normally has 9mm motor mounts, I drilled it out to fit the 12mm mount motors
All connections to FC etc use self-crimped Molex PicoBlade connectors for quick swap-out of parts
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Nice job! 👍Do you know how heavy the canopy is? Thanks!
It varies hugely depending on how tough you want it (Wall count / infill settings). and whether you use thread inserts or not Anywhere from like 4g to 10g
I am finding that ~6g prints seem to strike about the right balance between weight and rigidity, but I am still experimenting with getting the weight down - however the build is about 80g (A BetaFPV Twig XL is over 100g though), so not really that fussed about 1-2g
