63g dry, 85g AUW with a 2s 420mAh Lipo, this it to me the best flying urban ripper I ever owned.
I'm a huge fan of 1s Toothpicks for their discretion and flight performance but it's a tad fragile and tends to get easily blown away by the wind, this thing is just the perfect balance to freestyle small spots, gardens, parks without sending it to the moon on the first powerloop and with still, a lightweight and quiet form factor.
Really interesting quad and super happy about this project ! Check out the Kayoumini Starter Pack for parts recommendations if you wanna build one.
Cheers.

very interested in this build! has anyone made a digital version? just curious with the standoff height would it be possible?
Thanks ! It is shipped with taller 12mm standoffs and does fits Hdzero/Walksnail whoop style digital VTXs in that configuration, check the starter pack for more details : https://en.guide.kayou-frames.com/starter-pack/kayoumini-2-5. There's plenty of Digital Kayoumini builds shared on Kayou Frames Discord Server aswell : https://discord.com/invite/Rfds4eWwRn
That is a beautiful and elegant design! what kind of motors did you use on this guy? I've always loved the 2s 2.5 platform but it was almost always a toothpick or some variant of it.
Thanks man ! 1103 8000kv or equivalent is a perfect match, check out the starter pack for parts recommandations : https://en.guide.kayou-frames.com/starter-pack/kayoumini-2-5
Great job on this project! The idea of building a drone is truly inspiring, and the technical solutions you’ve applied demonstrate a lot of creativity and skill. I’m glad you shared your experiences and the details of the build – it will surely help other enthusiasts in their own projects. Your work is an excellent example of how a passion for technology can lead to amazing results. Well done!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

btw your flying is fire love the kayoumini in paris really cool editing
do you have some tips for removing motorplugs the pads are very tight on the x12 and kinda hard to solder ?
Just heat up the pins and pull them one by one, it's tricky but not that difficult !
