my 1st ever build - July 2020 - 2.5" Armattan Tadpole with Stable F411. The interesting thing about this one has a GPS with RTH enabled GPS location, Speed, Height going to telemetry and FPV googles.
The custom GPS mount" is just the bn-180 shrinkwrapped to a piece a plastic.

Armattan Tadpole 2.5"
GEPRC Stable F411 16x16mm with ESC and VTX
T-motor 7500kv F10 V2 1104
Avan Rush 2.5"
Runcam nano 2
FrSky R-XSR
BN-180 GPS
weight is only 84g with GPS (no battery)
batteries are 3S 75C, normally use 550 or 650mah
flys for about 5 min on 3S 650mah until i get to 3.6v indicated

in order to connect the GPS, i attached the bn180 tx and rx to led and buzzer pads on the F411 and remapped them to a softserial port

If anyone knows a way to mount the GPS that works/looks better, let me know!

Very interesting post. I tried to connect gps bn-220 via softserial port to my geprc f411 stable according to your description, but I can't. GPS is not defined. Can you drop your dump. From the photos, as I understand it, TX with gps is soldered to led, and RX to beeper. Thank you!

Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
