Yup. did a thing. Here is the story, I built this rooster as a 5" initially, then decided to fly cheaper beater frames for freestyle, and wanted to build a 6". All I needed were some arms, motors, and a gps.

I went with the Emax LS2206 2300kv motors because the kv was good for a 4S battery, and I don't intend to really freestyle this quad, so a 2206 will keep it in the air smooth easy. Added a gps from rtfq, I intend to send it. I also replaced things like camera with old ones I had lying around, so it is running a runcam swift 2, with a RR lense. Also replace the armattan foam with sticky squishy pads from amazon.

Weight of just quad is 417.2g.
AUW (with gopro and battery) is 676.8g

What kind of flight times are you getting out of this?

On a 4S 1600mAh battery I can get about 6minutes of cruising. The times I have just cruised to test time I got ~6min and battery was at ~15.2V after a few minutes of rest.

Thanks, I learned it from DiegoFPV in FPVChat (a slack chatroom where we tell inapporpriate jokes). I thought about putting it on the arm near the esc, but the magnets from the motors can interfere from what I hear... I am happy that the battery strap metal buckle is large enough to fit the gps through.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
