50g BQE Mini Pixel

V2: I rebuilt the mini pixel this weekend. It fit an odd spot in my lineup with its previous configuration. It was heavy for its size and didn't fly as well as my Diatone GTR-90, so it was underwhelming. I put back in a fishpepper stack, which brought the weight down, and added a Frsky r-xsr which gave me the much-needed telemetry I was missing. Video coming soon.

v1: I wanted a small backyard flyer that had all the perks of a larger kwad, but was modest enough to hit small gaps and be fun in a small space. This little one rips. I had initially setup with a 16mm stack, but fried the ESC (probably because my battery leads were too large)... I prefer this setup, because of the OSD and telemetry, granted it's probably 20% heavier.

Update: I may try a 4 blade prop. I can get 4min on a slightly agro flight, but I'm hungry for a little more torque.

That's a durable looking qwad, nice frame/roll hoop! That disproportionatly large cap is as big as one of your blades, and is likely diminishing your thrust noticably. Also: that's a niiiice Z3 ya got there sir, she still in good shape?

The cap came with the HGLRC board, but I agree I could probably get away with a 330.

It’s a durable little kwad, far better than the dys elf I destroyed last month (which is where the motors came from).

The Z is fun, and in great shape ; )

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
