Long(er)/Free Range is all the rage and I've been messing with it ever since the Crossfire MicroTX bundle came out. I jumped on that bandwagon early because I was interested in Long(er) Range before the recent bandwagon took off.
So I've been puttering around with an Armattan F1-6 with Crossfire and GPS.
I'm a bit of a 6" fan -in addition to the F1-6 I've also got Chameleon 6 andI recently built a Rooster 6, but the problem with both of those is weight and limited battery space.
And if 6" is great, then 7" is surely better right?
Especially with the new HQ V1S 7" props....
All I had been waiting for was the right 7" frame.
The Blackops v2 7" just came out, but like the Armattan 6"s that's a hefty bird. I'd looked at the iFlight 7" but it just didn't feel right.
I've alway loved the TBS Powercube and the TBS G2 frame has had me intrigued for a while.
Then a couple of weeks ago I won a competition in the TBS Lounge - the prize was a Unify HV Race and 3% off an an order.
I'd also bought some 1900kv Emax LS2207s for either the F1-6 or the Rooster 6 - but I ended up using F80 1900Kv's on the Rooster so they Emax 1900Kvs have just been sitting around.
The perfect storm.
I already had a couple of TBS Powercube Elite bundles which were not doing anything, so I picked up the new 4in1 20A ESC and a G2 7" frame and Bob's ya muvver's bruvver, so to speak.
So here we are.
Waiting on camera and props, but the rest of the parts are here and the build will commence.
holy crap that things got clusterbomb caps
Yeah Baby!!!!!!
