I bought this frame from a member on RCG and this is a one of a kind frame. So if I break anything, I will not find any replacement parts. All it came with when I bought the frame was the carbon fiber parts, I had to figure how to mount a camera on top. It was the end of 2017 when I printed this camera/ vtx mount, so there might be a "pretty" looking one that someone has created since then. Other than the bad looks, this mount is awesome! It holds a Runcam Micro Swift and Eachine VTX03 very well. I had to steal this camera from a different build because a Foxeer Micro did not fit too well. The problem is the button on the VTX03, it lines up perfectly with the Runcam Micro Swift v1but with any other camera it will get in the way of the plug.
I guess 132g is not too bad for a 4 inch quad. The 4 motors is almost half the weight of this whole quad (60g).
The first LOS flight was kind of crazy. With a 4s 850mah the punch out was amazing. I am not sure what battery I am going to use on it yet because the Tattu 4s 850mah 75c lipo is kind of heavy (104g)! Then I tried using a Tattu 650mah 3s 75c and that was okay. It flew fine but the punch out was not the same. I should have started with the 3s because I was spoiled with all the 4s power.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I like it! I'm building something similar but 5". Shooting for under 150g 'dry'
5" under 150g... I would like to see that fly. What kind of motors your planning to use?
It has Rotorgeeks 1407 2800's on it. I've just gotta get a few carbon parts cut on the router and It'll be ready to go together. I might replace the vtx03 that's on my bench with the unify micro to save a couple grams, just depends on how close I get with the final weight.
Its assembled with PLA prototype parts to check fitment and socket head stainless hardware and weighs 148g. With some AL hardware I should make it under 150g
