This is a little bit of a weird Merica build. I really like the Hobbywing three-in-one stack, but it doesn't exactly fit the frame like it's supposed to. My solution was to mount the stack completely on top of the frame, remove the arm spacers, and mount the canopy on 15mm standoffs.

It still looks super sleek.

Man, I just built a 3" Merica with the Eagle canopy last weekend and I was racking my brain over how you made this work lol. I decided I can't use the Eagle canopy with a 30.5x30.5 stack so I ordered the Mayday canopy instead. However I really wanna try using the new Raceflight 20x20 stack with the Eagle canopy in the future, maybe with the HGLRC 20x20 VTX. I think it'd all fit in there. Anyways, very sweet build! I hope those standoffs hold up.

Nice! I bet a 20x20 stack would fit perfectly. The eagle canopy is really tight, and to be honest, it took a lot of trial and error to work out some configuration that would fit at all. Like for instance, the props only clear the canopy in the front by one or two mm, and I had to squeeze the canopy a bit to clear the front two bolts on the top of the stack.

So far so good on the standoffs. The quad took a few unexpected 10-15m drops today while testing (due to my crappy soldering on the ESCs), and held up great. Aside from a bent prop and a little mud, everything held up great.

Looking forward to checking out your 3" build!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
