2018 HyphyLite #1 is the first of two identical quads for the 2018 MultiGP racing season. I'm planning on running these all year, repairing and maintaining them as the season goes forward. LS2207 2550kv, HW stack, Matek stackable VTX, R-XSR, and a Micro Swift 2. Plenty of power and good looks. Should be a fun season.

Where'd you get the vtx antenna mount?

Half way through my first build using the same stack and Rx. I’ve read the Rx needs to be (un)inverted to work?? I don’t really know what that even means. Maybe that is for getting telemetry?

Any tips? Did you uninvert your R-XSR? Do you have telemetry working?

Thanks

Honestly I’m not sure. I’ve never used an rx with telemetry lol. I hooked up the telemetry wire to the FC, but I highly doubt it’s working. Need to spend some time on it for LUA scripts. Probably will end up using softserial instead of pulling it apart to get un-inverted telemetry.

Did you wire Sbus from Rx to Sbus spot on FC the normal way and it flys?

Yep, sbus works perfectly, I just have no idea if I'm getting the telemetry I should be haha.

What sort of amps do you pull with this setup?

Like as in current -- what C batteries do you run?

Cruising around pulls 20-30A, top end is around 110A. Running CNHL 1300 4s “100C” for practice and R-lines for racing.

Thanks! that's super helpful :)

This. This right here is right pretty. Some tips though: Keep the wiring inside and taped down. I use a nylon plate over my FC to keep wires down and the amount of pads that fall off to a minimum. Nice build!

Yeah, I'm still evaluating cable routing as I build the second one. Thanks for the tip!

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
