I started with a Gremlin frame, but quickly found that I couldn't cram everything I wanting into the frame that I had purchased. I decided to give the Eclair a try. The only thing I wish I had changed was going with the 2.5" frame rather than the 2". Ultimately, I'm pretty happy with the build as it's my first micro. I am toying with swapping out the FC and ESC for an HGLRC Zeus to drop a little bit of weight.

I did try some DYS 2" - 3 blade props, but wasn't happy with them at all. The Gemfan Hulkies seem a lot smoother and there's not as much jello in the flight footage. The quad doesn't sound quite as angry compared to the DYS props.

I'm still working on cleaning up the wiring and finalizing the mounting of the RX and the VTX, but I"ll post updated photos when I'm done.

Not yet. I spent some time this afternoon cleaning up the wiring. I'm still figuring out how much flight time I'll get with the tiny batteries, but I'll post some once I have something decent.

Maybe 4 minutes? Honestly, I haven't flown much in the past few months due to some life changes, but I'll get back to it eventually.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
