Intro
My first build! Had a great time putting it together and learnt a lot in the process. Hopefully didn't counteract said knowledge acquisition by inhaling too much lead solder vapour. I highly recommend these DYS 1407 4300kv motors. They rip!

Flying impressions
This little quad has shiteloads of power. Much more than my first RTF 210 brushless quad. I'm still getting used to how much momentum is generated when I punch the throttle. It just seems to float more than I expect and I sometimes find myself thinking "drop! drop!' when approaching obstacles to fly under.
The motors were running fairly hot/warm originally but this seems to have gone away after raising Pitch and Roll P (Proportional) gain.
Flight time on the 850mAh 4s batteries is about 5 mins or so of fairly heavy thrashing.
Don't know how much it weighs but I can think of a few ways I could cut down the weight for a future build that I'm sure would help with flight time.
Warning
Those little DYS 30303s coupled with the 4300kv motors mean VERY fast and sharp little blades. Watch your fingers folks!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I appreciate the bloody hand pics, it lets everyone know you're hardcore. If you're lucky, it will leave a scar. I've got a scar on my thumb and it gives me a sense of pride :)
Hardcore or just plain stupid, one of the two :P
Both. Hardcore droniacs have been known to enter states of psychosis similar to those induced by mind altering substances and you end up doing things you normally wouldn't do :/
