This is not only my first rotorbuilds post but also my first quad build!! I used the uavfuture budget builds as tempplates but ended up upgrading parts here and there (actually everywhere). It's not specifically meant to be a freestyle rig or racer but you can change the frame from a 'true X' to a 'streched X' which is quite nice (frame was recommended by Torch FPV -thanks dude!). I choose the 2400kV version of the motors (more efficient?) and the vtx01 because everything above 25mW is illegal here. The ESC is connected to the FC (and powers it too) via the wire plugs. The build is clean but very tight. Unfortunately there are no smaller full range receiver for my flysky FSi6. I also had to widen some holes to fit zipties through and I had to dremel a bit of the camera plates off (not necessary with better motor wire management).
I am very pleased with the quad and hope it'll last a long time.
P.S.: I'm currently using the antenna of the VTX but you can ziptie the pigtail to slots of the top plate and somehow fit everything in the frame.
P.P.S.: thanks to /r/Multicopter too!!!
P.P.P.S.: I got a Monster Micro V2 Pro and TPU camera mounts. Like it better now.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

How do you like the motors quality wise?
I got six. One lost a bearing in a hard landing (wasn't really a crash). Another one's not labeled. But they perform nicely and they all spin very well. Can recommend but you should get at least one spare.
