Awesome micro drone in the 3" class. Plenty of power and almost 6 minutes flight time!
Includes buzzer and very bright LED strip, just like it's big brothers.
This "version 2" I created from evolving from "version 1", because HGLRC offers the TX2.0.
Additionally, I've made two small cuts to the frame, to better fit the HGLRC stack and give 1mm more clearing for the FuriousFPV rage props.
These FuriousFPV rage props are slightly more bigger than the Racekraft 3078 (4-blade) and I can feel more responsiveness.
Nevertheless, with this setup I have almost 6min flight time!
On the picture you can see the SQ12 camera, which comes with a built-in FOV of 155° - almost the ideal number for FPV ;-)
One can reduce the weight of the camera, if the LiPo inside is also removed and directly powered from the 3.3v rail of the FC or with a separate BEC.
The overall weight of SQ12 camera including the mount and strips is 19g.
The buzzer is very close mounted to the frame, but has almost no reduction in loudness (because close mounting). It sits quite fix on the side.
I've also attached some images, how I've build a waterproof LED stripe. It's a replacement part from Eachine Aurora 90 drone.
I've cracked of the sides and made it very narrow. Than I put it into transparent heat shrink, heated it up and used a flat pliers, to seal both ends.
It's important you let the heat shrink overlap 2cm on each side. After cooled down and sealed the ends, you apply two wholes per side (using a punch pliers).
These wholes are used to zip-tie the LED strip to the backside stand-offs.
Thank you HGLRC for building also an external current sensor https://twitter.com/hglrcfpv/status/949250229395599360
This little bad boy can easily challenge some bigger 5" competitors in a race :-)
For conformable coating I've used transparent nail top coat - costs ca. 2EUR in you local beauty show ;-)

(update 2019) I did realize and learned the hard way, the Atlas 130x has a very bad weak point - the frame cracked while it landed on semi-soft forrest ground. And since the m2 whole for the standoff is not re-inforced, this is a weaknees by desgin :( that's why I did give Rocket Kitty and FlyFox No.5 frames a try (see my other builds)
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..
Read moreWith the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
